workshop descriptions/ workshop details

Titel: Stiching stress- and/or fleecy balls
Form: Workshop
max participants: 10
content note: needles, scissors
description: stress? No, no, no! cuddling? Yes, yes, yes! Under this motto the workshop stiching stress- and/or fleecy balls takes place. Does this sound familiar?: I do not feel like it anymore!… everyday stress, discrimination shit, wrestling for visibility and being heard? Stress balls are a great way to send passive-aggressive moods into a room full of nerve-racking people! They are sending empowering signals without having to start a discussion. Yes! I am furious! Yes! That’s OK! Yes I don’t like to talk about it now!… and sometimes it could be also an ‚I just want to cry‘ situation. Sometimes crying is a good way to get rid of stress…especially holding a fleecy cuddle ball tightly in your arm. I would like to show you how you can stich both of it!

Titel: Safer/Braver Space for people with Jewish history
Form: Safer/braver space
max participants: exclusive for people with Jewish identity/history
content note:
description: Braver Space for people, who identify as Jewish and/or grew up with Jewish parents/family. Roughly it’s about internalized opression/antisemitism and yiddishkeit (or however you call that way being jewish), jewish culture/belief/history and ourselves as individuals acting as political activists in feminism and ‚antifa‘. Possible topics: Are we outing ourselves? Are we hiding? How does our ‚being jewish‘ influence our political work and vice versa? How do we experience the trauma of Shoa and other antisemitic experiences ourself and in our political work? Where are the connections to other opressions and privileges (race, physical abilities, gender identity and more)?

The space is not for people who don’t have an own jewish history and it’s suppose to be a Safer/Braver Space with the possibilities of reflection of diverse jewish perspectives. Here at _space and in our lifes, from OUR perspective.

Titel: My way to being myself
Form: lecture with subsequent discussion
max. participants: 25
content note: emotionaler abuse, mobbing and violence in school, violence in psychiatry, depression, suicide
description: For most, it is a long and stony path – the path to oneself and one’s own identity. On the basis of my story, I try to give hope that one can actually find oneself. Afterwards we can have a round of questions and/or exchange our experiences together in a relaxed atmosphere. Despite all the content warnings, the lecture is life-affirming and is meant to inspire hope. Fear accompanies many people in a variety of ways on their way, so I can show on my example that a long road and struggle with oneself, society and all other adversities is more than worth it.

Titel: self-care in the political everyday life
Form: Workshop
max participants: –
content note: –
description: You are very much interested in the whole political stuff and you want to make yourself strong for social change. Perhaps you are realizing that everything has become a bit much lately and you want more peace and quiet. Maybe you just want to find a way to prevent a burn-out and leave enough room for yourself in your life.
We want to talk about internal and external pressure in the activist’s everyday life, to deal with standards concerning efficiency and productivity. On the one hand, we want to get more in contact with our own needs and learn from each other, to find more peace and time for us. On the other hand, we would like to ask ourselves which areas we want to create for activism, in which we support ourselves and meet in sympathy.

Titel: workshop/discussion on intersectionality
Form: workshop/discussion
max participants: 16
content note: there will be exchange about different kinds of discrimination. we will talk about them mainly on a metalevel but still it might be that people are reminded about their own experiences.

description: 1, A discussion based workshop (held in English) about abuse in and faced by people in LGBTIQ+ Relationships. Exploring how power and control function outside of cis-hetronormativity and questioning if a “feminist” framework can help us anderstand abuse in our communities. We will also talk about what support can look like for those that experience abuse and those that cause harm.
2. A workshop/ discussion on transformative justice and comunity accountability. Drawing on experience from the facilitator and people in the workshop what practises or frameworks for accountability are people engaging with?
What lessons can we learn? What alternatives out out there? When processes fail why?
